About Edward Adams
As a longtime professor at the University of Minnesota Law School, Edward Adams is the school’s endowed chair in law and finance, the highest honor conferred in academia. He has served on numerous university committees and distinguished himself as the founder of such legal outreach projects as the school’s Introduction to Law Program, which reaches out to under-resourced young people as potential future attorneys. Also the author of numerous published manuals, handbooks, and articles, including the Corporate Counselor's Business Handbook, Edward Adams presents regularly before such professional conferences and learned societies as the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Ohio State Bar Association.
Also a highly regarded attorney, executive, and entrepreneur, Edward Adams serves as acting general counsel for investment solutions firm Devenir Group, where he has doubled assets under management while overseeing all compliance activities. He comes to this role having led as founder, chairman, and CEO of the Focus Capital Group, an investment banking firm. He most recently cofounded the law firm Adams Grumbles, LLP, where he draws on his diverse background to serve a clientele of startup companies.
